Expressway toll: Congress plans protest

Mysuru: KPCC spokesperson M Lakshmana on Tuesday stated that Congress will stage a black flag protest during the inauguration of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway by PM Modi on March 11 demanding revision of toll rates.
The party will also press NHAI to start toll collection only after the complete construction of service roads, he said, added that the NHAI is proposing to start toll collection from March 11 between Bengaluru and Nidaghatta.
“The toll fixed by the NHAI is not according to the rules. It is highest in the country”.
Taking on Mysuru MP Pratap Simha on his Taliban statement, Lakshmana said BJP is involved in spreading Taliban culture and violence in the country and not Congress. “BJP leaders are disappointed with the performance of Simha and will work to defeat him in 2024 Lok Sabha elections,” he claimed.
