Neighbours attack woman in Sabarmati area in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: A 27-year-old woman from the Sabarmati area of the city on Tuesday filed a police complaint against her three neighbours alleging that they attacked her after she objected to abusive words used for her 8-year-old son.
Shital Majirana, a resident of Mishrilal Chawl, said in her FIR with Sabarmati police that her son was riding his bicycle near their house on Sunday evening. At that time, a man whom she knew as Kareem, was abusing her son. She went to Kareem and asked him why he was abusing her son. Kareem threatened her with dire consequences saying that she should tell her son not to ride bicycle in the chawl.
Majirana told him that as she lived in the chawl, her son would play there only. At that time, Kareem began abusing and threatening her. In the meantime, Kareem's wife Tara rushed there and began beating Majirana. She approached Sabarmati police and filed a complaint of causing hurt, using abusive words and abetment against Kareem and his wife.
