Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 9.97 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 3.73 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.27 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 2.97 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.14 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.91 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.53 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.26 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 1.14 crore) and Adani Ent.(number of shares traded: 1.00 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:55AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 111.5 points up at 17415.45, while BSE Sensex was up 348.34 points at 59310.46 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 12.45 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.79 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.59 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.94 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.34 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
