Chennai Metro Rail records highest February passengers number on this day

CHENNAI: An average 2.27 lakh people travelled on metro trains in Chennai in February. A total of 63.69 lakh passengers used the service last month.
In a release, Chennai Metro Rail Ltd said the highest number of 2.61 lakh people travelled on metro trains on February 10.
A total of 20.20 lakh passengers purchased QR code tickets and nearly 40 lakh people swiped their travel cards while the others purchased tokens at the ticket counters.
In January, 66 lakh people travelled on metro trains.
