BHUBANESWAR: Wildlife officials have captured the movement of a Royal Bengal Tiger (RBT) in Keonjhar district's Ghatagaon area. The sub-adult tiger is believed to be from the adjoining Similipal Tiger Reserve and is exploring new territory.
"Tigers in sub-adult stage explore new areas. Earlier it had been sighted in Satkosia too. The forest officials of Karanjia and Keonjar divisions are monitoring its movement," said chief wildlife warden S K Popli.
The RBT's sighting in Keonjhar forests comes three months after a RBT has been seen roaming in Debrigarh wildlife sanctuary. The RBT is suspected to have come from Chhattisgarh to explore new territory.
