Brajesh Pathak inaugurated Jan Aushadhi centres at two community health centres and four primary health centres here on Monday.
While addressing a function organised as a part of the PM Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Project at Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya district hospital Pathak said that under the guidance of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and inspiration from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a drive is being carried out across the state to start JAK to ensure availability of better quality and low cost medicines by state government.
The deputy CM said that the JAKs have been operationalised at the CHCs of Araziline and Cholapur and PHCs of Badagaon, Chiraigaon, Pindra and Harahua as a part of the same drive. These JAKs will bring down the expenses of people on medicines from 50% to 90%, he said. The CHCs at Sevapuri and Kashi Vidyapeeth block will also get JAKs soon, said Pathak.
Later, he also attended the valedictory session of Ayuryoga Expo at PDDU trade facilitation centre.
