Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates meets RBI Governor in Mumbai

Mumbai, 28 Feb : On Tuesday, Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, visited the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in Mumbai and held discussions with RBI governor ShaktiKanta Das on a variety of topics. The RBI official Twitter handle confirmed the meeting and stated that the two discussed various matters. Gates is currently in India to explore business opportunities in sectors such as health and education.

In his latest blog post, “My Message in India: To Fight Climate Change, Improve Global Health,” Gates expressed his admiration for India and its achievements in eradicating polio, reducing HIV transmission, cutting poverty, lowering infant mortality rates, and increasing access to sanitation and financial services. He stated that India’s ability to make progress despite limited resources gives him hope for the future.

Gates also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the public, private, and philanthropic sectors to turn limited resources into significant funding and knowledge pools that can lead to progress. He expressed his belief that by working together, we can fight climate change and improve global health simultaneously.

In addition to co-founding Microsoft, Gates established the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support programs aimed at addressing food hunger, poverty, and malnutrition worldwide. As a philanthropist, Gates is using his time after retiring from his role as head of Microsoft to help solve the world’s problems and make a difference.
