The 7th Divisional Red Crescent Youth Camp-2023 will begin at Government College of Physical Education, Chittagong on Tuesday afternoon with the participation of 1,450 youths.
Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Major General (Retd) ATM Abdul Wahhab will inaugurate the camp on Tuesday and Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel will be present as the chief guest.
Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Chattogram district and Chairman of Chattogram Zilla Parishad ATM Piyarul Islam disclosed the information at a press conference held at Chattogram Press Club on Monday.
In a written statement, he said, this year the 7th Divisional Youth Red Crescent Camp will be held on the theme of 'Promotion of Youth Leadership, Commitment to a Green World'.
The four-day long camp will provide training on various topics, including leadership formation, digitalisation, public relations, fire prevention and firefighting,disaster management, psychology, globalisation and first aid.
Nishat Majumder, first Bangladeshi woman to conquer Mount Everest, Nazmun Nahar, who carried the red-green flag in 160 countries, former Director General of Bangladesh Television M Hamid, cartoonist Morshed Mishu will participate as motivational speakers to encourage the youth trainees.
District Red Crescent Vice Chairman Dr Sheikh Shafiul Azam, General Secretary Mohammad Aslam Khan, Treasurer MA Salam, City Red Crescent Vice Chairman Mohammad Alamgir Parvez, General Secretary Abdul Jabbar, Youth Red Crescent Chattogram Youth Head Gazi Iftekhar Hossain were present, in the press conference, among others.
