Police arrest 3 in Poonch, recover 3kg heroin from them

JAMMU: Security forces arrested 3 people on Sunday and recovered over 3kg of heroin from them during a naka check in Poonch district.
Police said, "Continuing our war against drug menace, teams from the district police, the Army, and the CRPF launched a joint operation late on the night of February 25 in Degwar Maldialan, Noor Kot, and Nakarkot border area."
"Today morning, our forces achieved a big success and recovered over 3kg of heroin (chitta) worth crores from Degwar Maldialan from 3 people. The arrested trio are Mohd Aslam, 50, of Degwar Maldialan, Mohd Jahangir, 31, of Nakarkot Degwar Maldialan, and Mohd Bashir, 40, also from Nakarkot Degwar Maldialan," police said.
The Poonch police registered a case under relevant sections of law against the 3 accused and are investigating the source and destination of the drugs.
