Manish Sisodia Arrested: Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers protest nationwide
The Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers are protesting near the BJP offices in Delhi amid tight security, day after the arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor policy case.
Mr Sisodia is expected to leave the CBI office, where he has been held since yesterday, to be produced at Rouse Avenue court at 3pm.
Delhi Police has erected barricades on several roads leading to DDU Marg where both the BJP headquarters and the AAP office are located.
Protests were also organised in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana. Several protesting workers were also detained by the police.
A large number of Aam Aadmi Party workers and supporters are also expected to gather outside the CBI headquarters.

Arrested AAP leader Manish Sisodia will leave the CBI office in Delhi at 2.30 pm to be produced in Rouse Avenue Court. Mr Sisodia's medical examination by AIIMS doctors has been completed.

The CBI may produce Manish Sisodia in court via video conferencing today, sources say. The final decision on whether the deputy chief minister will be physically taken to Rouse Avenue court or produced virtually through video conferencing will reportedly be taken around 1 PM today.
"By arresting Manish Sisodia ji, who brought revolutionary changes in the field of education in Delhi, BJP has proved that BJP is not only against education but also against the future of the children of Delhi. The people of Delhi will respond to this by defeating the BJP in all the seven seats in the next Lok Sabha elections," he tweeted.
