U.S. Stocks Open Higher After Indexes Post Worst Week of 2023

Markets have been rocked in February by signs of stubborn inflation

U.S. stocks opened higher Monday, pointing to a modest recovery after indexes logged their worst week of the year amid concerns about higher interest rates.

The S&P 500 rose 0.8% shortly after the opening bell, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 225 points, or 0.6%, and the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.9%.
