Aurobindo Pharma shares down 2.45% as Nifty drops

NEW DELHI: Shares of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. traded 2.45 per cent down in Monday's trade at 01:22PM (IST). Around 17,959 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 466.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 470.35 and Rs 456.0, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 730.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 397.3.

As per BSE, the total market cap of the Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. stood at Rs 26809.62 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 6499.78 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2022, up 12.13 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 5796.56 crore and up 7.13 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 6067.21 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 491.26 crore, down 18.76 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Dec-2022, DIIs held 7.5 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 22.32 per cent and the promoters 48.76 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 13.42 and a price-to-book ratio of 1.59. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
