Berhampur: Berhampur police on Sunday denied allegations that the question paper of the constable recruitment examination were leaked and warned of stringent action against those who circulated fake question papers on social media. Before the commencement of the examination at 10 am, purported images of the question papers were widely shared on social media, particularly in Berhampur, according to a private news channel.
“Investigation found that the viral images, claimed to be question papers of the constable (civil) recruitment exam, were not of today’s examination. Some mischievous elements have circulated some fake questions to create suspicion among the candidates,” said Saravana Vivek M, SP (Berhampur). He said a criminal case was registered against those involved in sharing the fake questions on social media. He urged the candidates to not to believe in such false news and panic. “The entire process of receiving question paper in sealed boxes and distribution in examination centres was made by armed policemen,” said the SP. tnn
