Apple TV+ releases first trailer for Ted Lasso season 3

It’s time to once again believe in the underdog as Apple TV+ released its first trailer for season 3 of Ted Lasso. Set to You Can’t Always Get What You Want by The Rolling Stones, the trailer teases that season 3 will chronicle AFC Richmond’s return to the Premier League.

Ted (We’re the Millers’ Jason Sudeikis), Roy Kent (Thor: Love and Thunder’s Brett Goldstein), and Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt of Horrible Bosses 2) are in an uphill battle as AFC Richmond is to picked to finish last in the league. Noticeably missing from the coaching staff is Nate (The Kid Who Would Be King’s Nick Mohammed), who left Richmond to work for Rupert (Bridgerton’s Anthony Head) as the head coach of West Ham United. However, the job may not be all that glorious as Nate is seen drinking alone with a hint of misery on his face.

According to the description of the series, Rebecca (Sex Education’s Hannah Waddingham) is “focused on defeating Rupert” while Keely (The Offer’s Juno Temple) “navigates being the boss of her own PR agency.” The chips may be down for the main characters, but “Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.”

Developed by Sudeikis, Hunt, Joe Kelly (Saturday Night Live), and Bill Lawrence (Shrinking), Ted Lasso season 3 will consist of 12 episodes that will be released weekly. It is unknown if the third season will be its last as many of the stars, including Sudeikis, have hinted that the series will end sooner rather than later.

Ted Lasso has been a critical darling since its debut in 2020. The first and second seasons were nominated for a combined 40 Emmy Awards. In total, the series has won 11 Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series and acting awards for Sudeikis, Goldstein, and Waddingham.

Ted Lasso season 3 premieres March 15 on Apple TV+.

It's time to face the music as Peter Quill, Drax, and the rest of the Guardians gear up for one final mission in the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Marvel President Kevin Feige and director James Gunn revealed the trailer today at the 2022 Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo, Brazil.

As Chris Pratt's Peter Quill says in the trailer, "The galaxy still needs its Guardians." Reprising their roles as the Guardians are Pratt as Quill/Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket. Zoe Saldaña returns to the franchise as Gamora, Thanos' adopted daughter. Gamora died in Avengers: Infinity War, but returned as a younger version of the same character in Avengers: Endgame.

Apple TV+ drops the first teaser for comedy thriller Sharper

It's never too early to begin promoting next year's movies. And Apple TV+ is getting a head start with its new comedy thriller, Sharper. The first teaser for the film doesn't really tell us much of anything about it. Instead, it relies on the star power of its five leading cast members, only three of whom actually speak in the video. This is more about setting the mood than anything else, even though plot information is withheld as if it was a state secret.

Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Apple One bundle to receive price increases

Apple is set to increase the prices for three of its services in the United States: Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Apple One. The company cites an increase in content and "licensing costs" as the reason behind the raised prices. Additionally, expect increases for these same services in global markets.

Apple TV+ will go from $5 to $7 for the monthly plan and $49.99 to $70 for the yearly plan. The 40% increase marks the first the time price of Apple TV+ goes up since its launch in November 2019.
In a statement to 9to5Mac, Apple TV+ was presented “at a very low price because we started with just a few shows and movies. Three years later, Apple TV+ is home to an extensive selection of award-winning and broadly acclaimed series, feature films, documentaries, and kids and family entertainment from the world’s most creative storytellers.”
