Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.18% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:10AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Macrotech Developers(up 3.61 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.77 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.49 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.21 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Sunteck Realty(down 2.39 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 1.5 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.25 per cent), SOBHA(down 1.19 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.15 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.18 per cent at 381.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 111.6 points at 17354.2, while the BSE Sensex was down 328.02 points at 59135.91.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, PNB, Suzlon Energy and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Vaishali Pharma, Career Point, Nintec Systems Ltd., Soma Textiles and Spectrum Electrical hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Uflex, Shekhawati Poly, DJ Mediaprint & Logi, Gayatri Rubbers and Chemicals Ltd. and A2Z Infra Engineeri hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
