The countdown has begun for the Meghalaya and Nagaland Assembly Polls. Over 34 lakh electorates will decide their new representatives from among 552 candidates in both states. The voting commenced at 7 am and will continue till 4 pm, on Monday. Security forces have been deployed at polling stations across states to ensure a smooth and fair voting process. Election Commission has ordered sealing of Meghalaya's International border with Bangladesh till March 2.
