The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is on the scene at the Walmart in Middletown after a man was shot and killed by police following a traffic stop at approximately 5:20 p.m.

Middletown Police officers responded to the area near the Middletown Walmart where the shooting took place, according to Enquirer media partner, Fox 19.

Police stated that the after a traffic stop was made, the shooting took place in the parking lot of the Walmart located in the 2900 block of Towne Boulevard.

“No officers were injured,” Steve Irwin of BCI told Fox19.
