Man held for sexual abuse of daughters in Patna

PATNA: A 40-year-old man was arrested for alleged sexual harassment of his own daughters in Patna, the police said on Saturday. The matter came to light on February 23 when a nine-year-old girl registered a complaint against his father Mithilesh Sharma and accused him of sexually abusing her and her sisters. Mahila PS SHO Kishori Sahchari said the man was sent to jail on Friday after a case was registered under Section 376 of the IPC and relevant sections of the Pocso Act. "The statements of all three girls (aged 11, 9 and 8) were recorded. The medical examination of the 9-year-old girl was conducted," she said.
"The complaint was made by the second daughter on Thursday. The other two girls also said that their father sometimes used to indulge in dirty acts. TNN
