1 dead, 3 injured in West Palm Beach shooting, sheriff says. Here's what we know.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies are on the scene of a shooting in unincorporated West Palm Beach that left one person dead and three injured, according to a release from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, this would be the eight mass shooting in Florida so far this year, and possibly the 87th in the country.

Where did the shooting in West Palm Beach happen?

Deputies responded to a shooting at the 5000 block of Breckenridge Place in unincorporated West Palm Beach around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Was anyone hurt or killed in the shooting in West Palm Beach?

Four people were suffering from gunshot wounds, the Sheriff's Office said. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded and took all four to a local hospital.

One woman died shortly after arriving at the hospital, the release said, and three men are currently receiving medical attention. The PBSO has not yet released information about their condition.

"We pray for their swift recovery," the release said.

Is there a danger to the community?

"We want to reassure the community that there is no immediate threat to their safety at this time," the Sheriff's Office release said. "We remain committed to protecting our community and bringing justice to the victim and her loved ones."
