Priyanka Gandhi message to party workers ahead of Lok Sabha polls, says time has come to show courage for country
Priyanka Gandhi, in her address, while praising the Congress workers for their commitment toward the party also said that the workers need to spread the message of the party from door to door and also tell the public about the shortcoming of the ruling BJP.

On the last day of the Congress 85th plenary session, party leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra talked about the Lok Sabha polls and the party’s approach to it. Gandhi, in her address, also said that Congress trusts the courage of the workers to fight BJP, and she further added and said that the time has come to show that courage to the country.
In her address at the meeting, Priyanka Gandhi stressed that the party has its work cut out for them as Oppositon parties should be united ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
Priyanka Gandhi in her address said that only one year is left for the party and it is anticipated that the Opposition will unite. She further said that the Opposition parties that do not align with the ideology of the BJP need to fight together against the BJP.
She also added and said that Congress is among the most expected party to steer the Opposition toward unity.

Priyanka Gandhi’s address at the 85th plenary session being held in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur shows the approach of the party for the Lok Sabha elections.
Most recently, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge at the party meeting also stressed the importance of the alliance and said that Congress is in talks with other like-minded parties to join hands to unseat the BJP.
Kharge, in his address, also said that the party is ready to make sacrifices to achieve the goal and dethrone the ruling BJP.
On the second day of the session, Sonia Gandhi also hinted at her adieu from her political journey. Sonia Gandhi in her address said that she is glad that her political journey could conclude with Bharat Jodo Yatra as the Yatra became a turning point and proved that the people of India want harmony, tolerance, and equality.

Manish Sisodia liquor policy case: Delhi Deputy CM tweets he is a follower of Bhagat Singh, not afraid of jail ahead of CBI questioning
The Deputy Chief Minister is being questioned about alleged corruption in the implementation of a now-scapped new liquor policy in the national capital.

Ahead of the questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the alleged liquor policy scam, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday said that he is not scared even if he is incarcerated for a few months since he is a follower of Bhagat Singh.
Taking to Twitter, the Deputy CM wrote Going to CBI again today, will cooperate fully in the investigation. The love of lakhs of children and the blessings of crores of countrymen are with him. He further said he doesn’t care if he has to spend a few months in jail, stating that he is a follower of Bhagat Singh, the freedom fighter who was hanged to death for the country. And it is such a small matter for him to go to jail on false charges, he added.
Retweeting Sisodia’s tweet, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote God is with you, Manish. The prayers of lakhs of children and their parents are with him. It is an honour when a person has to go to jail for the country and society. He said he prays to the almighty that he returns from jail soon. Delhi’s children, parents, and all of us will wait for him, he added.
Sisodia was supposed to be present before the central probe agency last Sunday, however, he sought more time stating that he is currently busy preparing the budget and his arrest at this point would derail that work. He stated that he could only appear towards February end.
The Deputy Chief Minister is being questioned about alleged corruption in the implementation of a now-scapped new liquor policy in the national capital. However, he has yet to be named as an accused in the agency’s charge sheet.

Days after violence in MCD house, police registers case against AAP, BJP councilors
The MCD house witnessed violence ensue after the newly elected mayor Shelly Oberoi pronounced the vote invalid during the voting for the six-member standing committee. The commotion escalated further as councilors and members of both parties turned violent.

Post the violence between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party in the MCD house on Friday, the police have registered a case against the councilors of both parties. As per the reports, the case has been registered at the Kamla Nagar police station.
The action by the police comes after the Aam Aadmi party gathered near the Kamala Nagar Police station on Friday to demand FIR against the BJP councilors.
The MCD house witnessed violence ensue after the newly elected mayor Shelly Oberoi pronounced the vote invalid during the voting for the six-member standing committee. The commotion escalated further as councilors and members of both parties turned violent.
Videos of the violence between the members of both parties were captured on camera which showed members and leaders from both parties punching, shoving, and kicking each other as the chaos escalated.
It was also reported that a councilor who belonged to AAP, Ashok Manu, collapsed during the commotion and was later rushed to the hospital.
As per the reports, Mayor Shelly Oberoi also told the media that the BJP members in the house tried to attack her. The AAP on Saturday had also accused the BJP councilors of assaulting several women party members as per reports.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi also milled the BJP on the alleged attack on the mayor and further demanded the BJP to stop ‘goondaism’ in the MCD house.
BJP’s counter
The BJP had also leveled allegations with the AAP on Saturday as they accused Atishi of hatching the plan of violence in the MCD house. The BJP’s Twitter handle shared a mock-up film poster with Atishi’s face cropped into it. The Tweet read and called Atishi the villain who planned out the violence and dictatorship in the house.

The Delhi HC, on Saturday, had ruled and put a hold on the re-election of six member standing committee which was re-scheduled to be held on February 27.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath slams Samajwadi Party in state assembly, says Samajwadi Party welcomes criminals into party

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday lambasted the Samajwadi Party on Saturday in the state assembly. The UP CM in his attack accused Samajwadi Party of patronising criminals and welcoming them with garlands.
CM Yogi Adityanath, while talking on the recent issue of the murder of the prime witness of the 2005 case murder of Bahujan Samaj Party MLA Raju Pal, charged the Samajwadi Party on their contradictive behaviour by saying that party welcome the criminals and garland them on one hand whereas on the other they create ruckus over the criminals.
The UP CM also questioned the Samajwadi Party on the veracity of the fact that the former MP Atiq Ahmed of Allahabad West is supported by the Samajwadi Party. The UP CM also said that the UP government will crack down on criminals like these.
Former MP Atiq Ahmed, his brother Khalid Azim and former MLA Ashraf are the prime accused in the Raju Pal murder case. The prime accused are in jail.
After hearing the statement by the CM Yogi, Samajwadi Party’s chief Akhilesh Yadav urged the UP CM to verify and further said that Baldev Samaj Party is not being named as the BJP government in UP is in alliance with them.
The jostle between CM Yogi Adityanath and the Samajwadi Party comes a day after the prime witness in the case of Raju Pal’s murder was shot down in broad daylight on Friday.
The Prime witness Umesh Pal in the 2005 murder case of Raju Pal was shot dead by an unknown man while the prime witness was getting out of the backseat of an SUV in Pryagraj on Friday.
The video of the incident was also captured on the CCTV near the place where it happened. According to reports, the bodyguard was also shot during the shooting and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
An FIR has been lodged in the case and the police have arrested 14 people in relation to the Umesh Pal murder. The 14 accused include Atiq Ahmed’s son and are being held for questioning.
