"We don't want to repeat 1962..." Jaishankar's indirect dig at Congress

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar took a veiled dig at Congress after Rahul Gandhi’s recent jibe on his comments on China. "EAM said in an interview that India has a smaller economy than China, so how can we fight them? Was our economy very big when we were fighting the Britishers?" Gandhi said while addressing the third and final day of the party's ongoing Plenary session in Raipur. Hours after Rahul Gandhi’s comments, EAM S Jaishankar said that focus should be on infrastructure as “we don’t want 1962” to repeat.
