City food outlet broken into, burgled
Ludhiana: Some unidentified persons barged into an food joint adjoining Police Lines at Humbran road and stole cash, laptop and some valuables after breaking the shutter open early on Sunday.
Vishal Arora, owner of the food joint, said that he came to know about the incident on Saturday morning. When he reached the restaurant to start the day, he found the shutter open. On entering, he found the place ransacked and Rs 30,000 cash, a laptop and other valuables stolen. CCTV cameras installed at the food joint showed three persons who came on a scooter. At first, they stood near the shutter pretending to be relieving themselves. Then they broke the shutter open and executed the theft. Inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO, Division number 8 police station said that the statement of the owner had been recorded. tnn
