One of the three cop arrested on Thursday, for robbing a businessman of Rs 5.30 lakh on Wednesday, has been terminated from job by the commissioner of police (CP) on Saturday.

CP BP Jogdand said that the terminated policeman was a trainee sub-inspector identified as Rohit Singh.
“He has been terminated as per SI’s Service Rules 2015. Now, we are in the process of initiating a departmental action against other SI Yateesh Kumar and head constable Abdul Rafe, who had already been arrested and placed under suspension,” added the CP.
The three policemen identified as SI Yateesh Kumar, SI Rohit Singh and head constable Abdul Rafe, were produced in the court of ACMM-3 Alok Yadav on Friday evening and later sent to jail. SI Yateesh Kumar and HC Abdul Rafe had already been placed under suspension.
To recall three policemen including two sub-inspectors and a head constable, were arrested on Thursday on charges of the complaint of a businessman that they had looted Rs 5.30 lakh from him on Wednesday. The three were later sent to jail on Friday.
DCP West Vijay Dhull had stated that the hardware trader in his complaint alleged that he was returning from Sachendi on a motorcycle on Wednesday evening when he was stopped by three policemen near Deepu Chauhan ka Dhaba. Two policemen, who were in civil dress while one in police uniform, later snatched cash worth Rs 5.30 lakh from him and fled, said DCP.
After that the trader met the CP and submitted his complaint, during the investigation all three policemen were found prima facie guilty, due to which they were immediately arrested and suspended, official added.
