Vadodara: Girl students left their mark as The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on Saturday declared the results of CS executive and CS professional stages. The exams were held during the December 2022 session.
A total of eight students from Vadodara centre cleared the professional stage of CS. Interestingly, two girl students shared the honours by topping at the centre with similar marks. Stuti Pragnesh Pandya and Neha Singh scored 466 out of 900 marks.
“I had started CS in 2020. Along with CS, I am also pursuing my BCom studies,” said Stuti, currently a third year BCom student.
“After CS, I want to pursue law. I want to focus specifically on corporate law and make a career in corporate sector,” said Stuti, whose father Pragnesh is a deputy general manager in L&T and mother Chhaya is a homemaker.
Stuti said that right from the time she was in class 12, she wanted to pursue a programme which provides a prefix to her name. “CS provided me an exciting and intriguing opportunity,” she said.
Neha who also topped at Vadodara centre has already completed her BCom and is currently pursuing her first year LLB from M S University. She is currently undergoing training at a Chandigarh-based listed firm.
“It would have been difficult for me to pursue my studies but it was possible thanks to my mentors – Raju Dubey and Mukesh Parikh – who helped me a lot. Also, my father motivated me to pursue my dreams,” said Neha, a native of Bihar, whose father Ajay Kumar Singh works with Apollo Tyres while mother Kiran Singh is a homemaker.
Yashraj Yogendrasinh Gohil stood second at Vadodara centre by scoring 459 out of 900 marks. In terms of overall result, 12 % of the total candidates passed in module-1, 13.04 % in module-II and 10.14 % in module-III in professional stage.
In CS executive stage, a total of 29 students from Vadodara centre cleared their exams. While 7.76 % candidates cleared in module-I, 19.88 % cleared exams in module-II.
In executive stage, Vidhi Amrish Shah topped in Vadodara by scoring 403 out of 800 marks. Vidhi who has completed her BCom said that her nearest goal is to clear professional stage of CS. “I have completed the executive stage in first attempt and my nearest goal is to clear professional stage. After that I want to work with some big firms and gain some experience,” said Vidhi, whose father Amrish is a safety manager with Ceat Tyres while mother Mital is a homemaker.
The Vadodara chapter of the Western India Regional Council of ICSI felicitated the students who cleared single or all the modules of both the stages.
