Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud offers prayers at Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh

TIRUPATI: Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud offered prayers to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Brahmarambika Devi at the ancient Srisailam temple in Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
Srisailam temple trust Chairman R Chakrapani Reddy along with EO S Lavanna and temple priests accorded a traditional welcome to the CJI and his family at the Rajagopuram and led them into the temple complex.
Later the CJI and his wife performed Rudrabhishekam and Kunkumarchana at the Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Brahmarambika Devi shrines for a brief while.
After the completion of their worship, Srisailam Devasthanams officials handed over the temple's Teertha-prasadams and the veda Pundits rendered Vedaseervachanam on the CJI couple.
District collector Manaji Jeelani Samoon, Nandyal SP K Raghuveer Reddy and others were present.
