Jaipur: Probe begins after 16-year-old girl dies by jumping from private school building

JAIPUR: The police have launched an investigation after a 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a private school building in the Kanota police station area on February 15.
The Kanota police station house officer (SHO) Mukesh Khariya said that the police have registered a case against the school administration and certain teachers for abetment of suicide (section 306 IPC). The parents filed complaint on Thursday.
“The deceased is identified as Radhika. She died after jumping off her school’s building on February 15. The parents filed a complaint against the school officials for the death of their daughter, accordingly we have filed an FIR,” he said.
Shrawan Lal Meeena, father of the deceased schoolgirl, alleged that the school administration had misled him by claiming that his daughter had died after falling off the stairs.
