Jaipur water supply hit as renwal project begins

JAIPUR: There has been no major complaints from residents as PHED stopped water supply from Bisalpur Dam from Friday morning. Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) engineers on Friday said the work of Bisalpur-II project in Renwal went smoothly and assured that it would get over within stipulated time.
"We have given regular supply on Friday morning. Evening supply had been stopped. But there has been no major complaints from residents," said a PHED official. On the other hand, field engineers had stored water for tail-end areas and water had been supplied to these localities as per schedule.
"Work went on smoothly on the first day and we are trying our best to restore partial water supply by Sunday evening itself," an engineer claimed.
