Centre is trying to divert people’s attention: Imtiaz Jaleel on renaming of Aurangabad

AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel targeted the Centre after it approved the renaming of Aurangabad and Osmanabad on February 25. Speaking to ANI, he said, “The decision related to my city has to be decided by the people of the city. Everybody is trying to be a hero in this matter, be it Devendra Fadnavis or Eknath Shinde. Now that they have renamed it after such a respected personality, I would request them to sanction a few packages of 2-5 thousand crores too for Aurangabad so that problems of the city get sorted. Will changing the names solve the water scarcity? Problems faced by the farmers? Unemployment? They are actually trying to divert people from the main issues by changing the names of some or the other roads/city/building every other day.”
