Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent a letter to the state government seeking information regarding the action taken on its report about suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal in connection with MNREGA scam in Khunti district and money laundering.
The central agency had sent a report to the state government around four months ago accusing Singhal of misusing her post and indulging in corruption during the scam, which was worth Rs 18.06 crore. Singhal was the deputy commissioner (DC) of Khunti when the scam took place.
ED sources said that several months have passed since the central agency has sought information regarding the response of the state government.
Earlier this month, the state law department had recommended registration of FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act against the suspended IAS officer. TNN
