Raju Pal murder prime witness shot in Prayagraj

Prayagraj: Umesh Pal, the prime witness of the murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal, was shot dead while his two police gunners were stated to be critical in a shootout in Prayagraj’s Sulem Saray area late Friday evening. The assailants reportedly fired multiple rounds and hurled bombs at Umesh and his gunners and escaped unchallenged.
Police said the incident took place when Umesh along with his gunners had reached near his house after attending a hearing in the court. As soon as the trio reached near Umesh’s house in Dhoomanganj’s Sulem Saray locality, a group of armed assailants hurled crude bombs and sprayed them with bullets even before the gunners could react.
