JAIPUR: The chief manager of Jaipur depot, which falls under Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), has issued a chargesheet to one of its employees, Satbeer Singh, for furnishing a fake marksheet with false date of birth mentioned on it (information obtained through RTI), to the department to secure a government job.
ACB had earlier forwarded a complaint, registered by RTI activist Sandeep Kumar, to the RSRTC to take appropriate action in the matter. As per Singh’s Class V marksheet/transfer certificate (original document), obtained through an RTI reply from the office of chief block education officer, Udaipurwati (Jhunjhunu), his date of birth is June 28, 1963. The RTI application was filed by Kumar.
Meanwhile, Singh’s forged marksheet/TC form of Class VI, VII and VIII (with SR No 1011), which was sent to his school for verification by RSRTC (the employee had submitted the fake document to the department), mentioned that his date of birth was March 5, 1966. After verification, the school found that the TC form with SR No 1011 did not belong to Satbeer Singh.
This information was also obtained through an RTI reply from government higher secondary school (Sonthli, Jhunjhunu). Later, an RTI reply obtained from the school confirmed TC form with SR No 1011 belonged to another person.
Singh's employee details on RSRTC website also mentioned that his date of birth was March 5, 1966.
"Singh had also obtained two ration cards and voter IDs under his name. He has been availing of the benefits of free passes (issued by the department) and government schemes ever since Singh joined the service (appointed on October 26, 1996)," said Kumar.
