It has come to light that director-writer trivikram, who is giving the screenplay and dialogue for the telugu version, proposed the term "Devara" when word of this remake first surfaced in the cinema community about six months ago. That will be an appropriate title because pawan kalyan plays a god in this film. Nonetheless, bandla ganesh registered that title, and the majority of the time he addressed PK as Devara.

There are rumours circulating that bandla ganesh is unwilling to give the movie this title because of an unresolved conflict with Trivikram. However, it is claimed that neither trivikram nor pawan kalyan nor sai dharam tej requested the title; rather, they are sticking with the name "Devudu." Whatever the title, a movie will undoubtedly generate hype and interest if pawan kalyan and trivikram are handling the creative aspects.
