CBI team knocks on door, builder jumps off balcony & fractures leg in Gurgaon

GURGAON: A builder jumped from the first-floor balcony of rented flat in a Sector 71 society and fractured his leg after a CBI team knocked on his door on Thursday.
Sanjeev Kumar, who lives in Tata Primanti Society, was wanted in case of cheating and had been evading arrest for some time. A complaint was lodged against him by Randhir Kumar Singh of the CBI, following which an FIR was registered at Badshapur police station.
Kumar was eventually arrested on Thursday. The CBI team that searched his house found a revolver and 24 bullets. The licence of the gun in the name of Kumar was also found.
Kumar was booked under Section 25 (1-B) (a) of the Arms Act. "In keeping with the complaint, an FIR was registered. We are investigating the allegations against him," said Madan Lal, the SHO of Badshapur police station.
