War of words continued between AAP, BJP over ‘MCD House brawl. Mayor Shelly Oberoi on February 25 said that one vote was invalid when it was being declared, and BJP councillors started creating a ruckus. She also said that the experts who declared the results publically is unacceptable. Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi said, “When I saw one vote was invalid and I was declaring the same, BJP councillors created ruckus. The experts who declared the results publically are unacceptable, they came here to assist me rather than declare results. As per the act, the results must be declared by the presiding officer only. The experts do not have the right to declare the results. I have lodged an FIR against Arjun Marwa and Ravi Negi.” While speaking to ANI, Shikha Rai said “Our point to the court is that the elections which have been declared by the Mayor are not valid. The mayor cannot declare that the vote is invalid. These two aspects will be examined by the court. For now, the court has postponed the election that was scheduled on February 27.”
