Diversions for movement of poll material in Pune

PUNE: The Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad traffic police will impose traffic diversions in the Swargate and Wakad areas between Saturday and Sunday to felicitate the transportation of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and other material to the polling booths for the Kasba Peth and Chinchwad bypolls.
The polling material for the Kasba Peth bypoll will be dispatched from Ganesh Kala Krida Kendra in Swargate. The stretch from Sarabaug via Jedhe Chowk underpass will be closed for traffic from 8am to 1pm on Saturday and 7pm to 9.30pm on Sunday.
For the Chinchwad constituency, the polling material will be dispatched from the centre at Kambhart Bhavan in Thergaon. The Pimpri Chinchwad traffic branch has banned entry for vehicles between Tapkir Chowk and Thergaon police chowkey from 9am on Saturday to 12am on Sunday.
