Gujarat CM inaugurates third world textile conference
The Gujarat CM said that the textile industry which is the oldest industry, has kept pace with the times and has gained a prominent position in the world market through use of advanced technology.
AHMEDABAD: Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday inaugurated the Third World Textile Conference in Ahmedabad.
The Gujarat CM said that the textile industry which is the oldest industry, has kept pace with the times and has gained a prominent position in the world market through use of advanced technology.
The CM said that to boost textile industries in state, highest Rs.1,580 crore subsidy and incentives have been given in the new state budget.
Textile industrialists from various states of the country and countries of the world are participating in this conference held in the presence of Union Minister of State for Textiles Darshana Jardosh.
The chief minister requested the industries as well as textile industries to always make sure that preservation of environment should always come first in this journey of their development.
Pace of Development – The path of progress that we have projected through the politics of development under the guidance of Prime Minister has now become a new chapter. He added.
Gujarat CM said, As a result of the series of Vibrant Summits initiated by the Prime Minister, global opportunities have opened up in Gujarat for entrepreneurs and businessmen from all over the world. Not only that, but Gujarat has now become the first choice destination for foreign investors today.
He added that, India has become the fifth largest economic power in the world under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Even during pandemic, the pace of being self- reliant has remain uninterrupted.
The government has allocated Rs 1580 crore in this year's budget for the development of the textile industry in line with the textile policy, which clearly indicates that government is always besides textile industries of Gujarat to help them out as and when required. Bhupendra Patel said.
