JAIPUR: Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Friday said victory for Congress in the Assembly elections in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh is crucial for the party’s success in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Expressing confidence that Congress would return to power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and defeat BJP in Madhya Pradesh in the Assembly polls scheduled in December, Pilot said the party would formulate its strategy for the same in its
Raipur plenary session.
Speaking to reporters, the former deputy chief minister said Congress would emerge stronger after the 85th plenary session, which began on Friday in Raipur, and added that the countdown of the NDA government at the Centre has begun with this national summit of Congress.
“A new message will go across to all members of the Congress party through this session. The resolutions that will be passed in the party’s plenary session here will be taken to the grassroots. The reverse countdown of the NDA government for 2024 has begun with this. Congress will emerge stronger after this,” said Pilot.
The Tonk MLA said all eyes of Congress and the people of the country are on the Raipur summit. “There will be discussions and resolutions on the party’s future course of action. It will send out a message that will energize party workers. The main agenda will be on a strategy to defeat NDA in the 2024 elections,” said Pilot, adding that the challenge is to educate the people about the failures of the NDA government at the centre.
