We are exporting to the world because of farmers: PM Modi at post-Budget webinar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24 addressed a post-Budget webinar on 'Agriculture and Cooperatives'. While addressing the webinar, PM Modi said, “In 2014, the agriculture budget was less than 25,000 crores. But today the country’s agriculture budget has increased to more than 1 lakh 25 thousand crores.” “After independence, our agriculture sector remained under the pressure of scarcity for a long time. We were dependent on the world for our food security. But our farmers not only made us Aatmanirbhar, but because of them, today, we are exporting to the world,” said PM Modi.“We have to solve the challenges of the Agriculture sector. Only then will we succeed in the holistic development. In this budget, an open-source platform for the Agriculture sector is being given prominence. We just witnessed the digital revolution. Agritech domain has many opportunities for innovation and investment,” he added.
