The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office asked has located a 74-year-old Genesee woman who had not been seen since dropping her husband off at Denver International Airport on Wednesday morning.
Jeffco sheriff’s office announced in a tweet Thursday evening that the woman was found safe and back in the care with family members.
Update: great news!! Janet has been found safe and is back in the care of family members. A driver saw the Senior Alert and called police when they spotted her car. Thanks to everyone who helped in the search.

According to a tweet from the sheriff’s office, Janet Sandoval took her husband to the airport at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning and never returned home. She was located Thursday evening around 6:15 p.m., according to a Jeffco sheriff tweet.
Sandoval is described as being 5-foot 4-inches tall with a slim build, gray hair and brown eyes. She was driving a 2010 tan Volvo station wagon.
