SI thrashes Army jawan in Bihar's Raxaul

MOTIHARI: A police sub-inspector (SI) of Raxaul police station was sent to the Police Lines on charges of thrashing and abusing an Army jawan Radha Mohan Giri in Raxaul on Wednesday after a verbal duel.
The SI Jitendra Kumar allegedly dragged and thrashed the Army jawan, took him to to Raxaul police station and also locked him up.
Giri told senior police offcials that he was on way to a matriculation examination centre at Raxaul by his car to drop his wife.
Meanwhile, one Taiyab Mian got a minor injury with the looking glass of his car near the examination centre.
Taiyab stopped the car but when Giri assured Taiyab that he will bear the cost of medical treatment after dropping his wife at the examination centre, the issue was resolved. As per Giri's statement, the SI reached the spot and asked him to take the car to the police station.
