Desainagar wakes up to bison, drives them away after 5 hours

Bicholim: Two bison strayed into the Desainagar village of Sanquelim on Friday morning. Scared villagers immediately called animal rescue teams that promptly swung into action to drive the bison back into the surrounding dense forest area.
The villagers called in the animal rescue squad and the forest department, which then conducted a joint operation. It took the teams nearly five hours to drive the animals away.
Locals said that the bison wandered into their settlement around 7am on Friday. The sight of the two large wild bovines led a crowd to gather, which in turn confused the animals, causing them to run amok and create havoc.
