MYSURU: Four-time MLA SA Ramadas is facing opposition from his own community, which forms the majority in the Krishnaraja assembly segment in Mysuru district. Several
Brahmin leaders on Thursday asked BJP to field another Brahmin leader in KR segment and said they would not support Ramadas. Nearly 35% of KR voters are Brahmins.
Speaking to reporters, community leader TD Prakash said they are not against the BJP but against the MLA. “Ramadas is not responding to the problems faced by Brahmin community members. Though many poor Brahmin families have been approachring him seeking help to get government benefits, he has not responded,” he claimed. While they said the segment has seen development, they complained that the legislator is not solving their problems.
