Voltas shares drop 0.92% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Voltas Ltd. traded at Rs 905.5 on BSE at 11:43AM (IST) on Thursday, down 0.92 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 737.6 and a high of Rs 1347.75.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 172.3 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 5.25 per share and 7.49 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 25,931 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:43AM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 29943.41 crore and is part of the Air Conditioners industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , down 26.74 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 3.48 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 919.7 and Rs 903.85.

Promoters held 30.3 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2022. FII and MF ownership in Voltas Ltd. stood at 21.58 per cent and 14.09 per cent, respectively.
