Couple kill 4-year-old son, themselves in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: A couple killed their four-year-old son by poisoning him and then died by suicide near Walajabad in Kancheepuram district on Wednesday.
Police identified them as Kalaiarasan, 34, of Ayyampettai and Nithya, 30, and Yamanath. Kalaiarasan was a labourer. Three months ago, the couple moved to Vasinampatti village to live close to Nithya's father's home.
Police said Kalaiarasan had often stayed at home and had not gone for work. This led to quarrels with his father-in-law. When the couple's house was found locked for long hours, the neighbours peeped through the window, and found them dead. An inquiry was on to ascertain the reason behind the family's extreme step.tnn
