DCM Shriram Industries(down 3.02%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 2.95%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 2.20%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 1.96%), Mawana Sugars(down 1.73%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 1.29%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 0.95%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 0.95%), AVADHSUGAR(down 0.88%) and Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 0.83%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 43.05 points down at 17511.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 139.18 points at 59605.8.
Hindalco Industries(up 1.57%), Coal India(up 1.44%), Axis Bank(up 1.32%), ITC(up 0.98%), State Bank of India(up 0.9%), Tata Motors(up 0.87%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.87%), Tata Steel(up 0.81%), UPL Ltd(up 0.79%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.68%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Asian Paints(down 3.22%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.62%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.62%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.58%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.57%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.54%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.52%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.19%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.03%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.74%) closed in the red.
