2 men joined hands to kill woman in Vadodara: Cops

VADODARA: An affair with two men cost a woman her life in the city. The cops on Wednesday arrested the accused for killing Chameli, a 30-year-old resident of Chhani. Her mutilated body was found near Padamla bridge on February 16. The Chhani cops managed to identify her within a day and began searching for the accused.
During investigations, the cops learnt that she was in a live-in relationship with Ajay Yadav who works as a driver. Chameli, who had separated from her husband, wanted to marry Yadav. But he wanted to marry another girl in his hometown in Uttar Pradesh.
When he left for UP some time ago, Chameli got into a relationship with another accused Uday Raj Shukla who works as a security guard. She began pressuring him to marry her and it unnerved Shukla. Both Shukla and Yadav then decided to bump off the woman.
On February 14, Yadav took Chameli to Padamla where Shukla was already waiting. The duo then strangled her to death and then threw her body off the bridge.
