Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty fell 157.0 points to 17669.7, while the BSE Sensex traded 512.64 points down at 60160.08.
On the other hand, Nintec Systems Ltd., Aaron Industries, Vera Synthetic, Vinny Overseas and Soma Textiles stocks hit their fresh 52-week highs today.
In the Nifty 50 index, Bajaj Auto, Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddys, Tata Consumer and Hindalco were among the top gainers on the NSE.
Adani Ent., Adani Ports SEZ, Bajaj Finance, Grasim Inds. and Bajaj Finserv were among the top losers.
