MUMBAI: Activist Gautam Navlakha, arrested in the 2018 Elgar Parishad case, was in touch with Ghulam Nabi Fai, an alleged Pakistani ISI agent held by the
FBI in July 2011, the NIA told the Bombay high court in an affidavit on Monday, opposing bail under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Navlakha, 70, “is trying to portray his criminal activities as work for human rights” when he is “actively involved in commission of offences he is charged with”, it added.
After the NIA sought time on Navlakha’s bail plea filed last year, hearing was adjourned to next Monday.
