The LPGA is back. The women’s golf circuit is now in Thailand for the 2023 Honda LPGA Thailand. Held exactly a month after the LPGA Tournament of Champions, the event is set to tee off on Thursday, February 23.

The Honda LPGA Thailand is being played at Siam Country Club's Pattaya Old Course in Thailand. Set to be played in its originally intended slot, the LPGA tournament will see golfers compete against each other for the $1.7 million prize purse.


2023 Honda LPGA Thailand field

The 2023 Honda LPGA Thailand will feature a 72-player field headlined by the likes of Lydia Ko, Nelly Korda, Minjee Lee and Brooke Henderson, among others. The four-day tournament, which marks the second event of the season, will have nine out of the top 10 and a total of 37 of the top 50 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings on its field.

Apart from the big names, the Thai event will also see four rookies in contention. Jaravee Boonchant, Natthakritta Vongtaveelap, Chanettee Wannasaen and Arpichaya Yubol will all be on the pitch owing to sponsor exemptions. Reigning U.S. Women’s Amateur champion Saki Baba is another special name on the field.

Meanwhile, some of LPGA’s notable names are missing from the field as well. Players like Lexi Thompson and 2018 winner Jessica Korda will be watching the tournament from the sidelines.
