Ex-serviceman shoots self dead

Ludhiana: An ex-serviceman shot himself dead with his licensed weapon at Mullanpur village on Monday evening. The deceased was identified as Charanjit Kumar, who was in his 40s. Police officials said Charanjit had gone to a marriage function with his acquaintance. After he returned home, he shot himself with the licensed revolver. They said at the time of incident, his family members, including three children, were reportedly attending the marriage function. tnn
